Information about cookies
In accordance with Law 34/2002 of July 11 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI), in relation to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR), and Organic Law 3/2018 of December 5 on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD), it is mandatory to obtain the express consent of users on all websites that use non-essential cookies before they begin browsing.
What are cookies and what do we use them for?
A cookie is a small information file that is stored in your browser each time you visit our website.
Cookies and other similar technologies such as local shared objects, flash cookies, or pixels are tools used by web servers to store and retrieve information about their visitors, as well as to ensure the proper functioning of the site.
By using these devices, the web server is able to remember certain information about the user, such as their preferences for viewing pages on that server, username and password, products of interest, and so on.
They play a key role in providing many information society services. Among other things, they allow a website to store and retrieve information about a user's browsing habits or those of their device, and depending on the information obtained, they can be used to recognize the user and improve the service provided.
The purpose of cookies is to store your activity history on our website so that, when you visit again, the site can recognize you and tailor its content based on your browsing habits, identity, and preferences.
A cookie is harmless—it does not contain malicious or harmful code (e.g., viruses, trojans, worms, spam, or pop-up windows) that could damage your device (computer, tablet, smartphone, or any other device). However, it does collect certain information related to you, such as your browsing habits, identity, and preferences.
What information does a cookie store?
Cookies generally do not collect special categories of personal data (sensitive data). The information they store is usually technical in nature, such as personal preferences, content customization, and similar data.
Cookies affected by regulations and exempt cookies
According to the EU directive, cookies that require the user’s informed consent are analytics, advertising, and affiliate cookies. Technical cookies and those necessary for the operation of the website or for providing services explicitly requested by the user are exempt from this requirement.
What types of cookies are there?
Depending on the entity that manages the domain from which the cookies are sent and processes the data obtained, there are two types:
- First-party cookies: These are sent to the user’s device from our own equipment or domains and are used to provide the service requested by the user.
- Third-party cookies: These are sent to your device from a server or domain that is not managed by us, but by another collaborating entity. For example, cookies used by social networks or external content providers like Google Maps.
There is also a second classification based on the length of time cookies are stored in the user's browser or retained:
- Session cookies: Designed to collect and store data while the user is browsing a website. They are typically used to store information that is only needed for the duration of a single visit—for example, a list of purchased products.
- Persistent cookies: These are a type of cookie in which the data remains stored on the user’s device and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the cookie’s owner, which may range from a few minutes to several years.
Finally, there is another classification with five types of cookies based on the purpose for which the obtained data is processed:
- Technical and functional cookies: These are the most basic type of cookies. They allow users to browse a website, platform, or application and use the various options or services available on it, such as controlling data traffic and communication, identifying the session, accessing restricted areas, remembering items in a shopping cart, completing a purchase, signing up for or participating in an event, using security features during browsing, storing content for video or audio playback, or sharing content via social media.
- Personalization cookies: These allow the user to access the service with certain general features that are predefined based on a set of criteria on the user’s device—such as language, the type of browser used to access the service, regional settings, and so on.
- Analytics cookies: These cookies allow their owner to track and analyze user behavior on the websites they are linked to. The information collected through this type of cookie is used to measure website, application, or platform activity and to create browsing profiles of users. This helps in making improvements based on how users interact with the service.
- Advertising cookies: These are cookies that enable the most efficient possible management of the advertising spaces that, where applicable, the owner has included on a website, application, or platform from which the requested service is provided. This management is based on criteria such as the edited content or the frequency with which ads are displayed.
- Behavioral advertising cookies: These cookies enable the most efficient possible management of the advertising spaces that, where applicable, the provider has included on a website, application, or platform from which the requested service is delivered. They collect and store information about the user's preferences, behavior, and personal choices (retargeting) by continuously monitoring browsing habits, allowing for more effective management of advertising spaces based on user profiles.
- Social cookies: These are set by social media platforms within the services to enable you to share content with your friends and networks. Social media platforms have the ability to track your online activity outside of these services, which may influence the content and messages you see on other websites or services you visit.
- Affiliate cookies: These allow tracking of visits that come from other websites with which the main website has established an affiliation agreement (affiliate companies).
- Security cookies: These store encrypted information to prevent the data contained within them from being vulnerable to malicious attacks by third parties.

How can I delete cookies?
Cookies can be deleted, accepted, or blocked, as desired, by properly configuring your web browser.
At any time, you can prevent the installation of cookies (blocking) on your device by using the appropriate option in your browser; however, in that case, we cannot guarantee the proper functioning of the various features of our website.
To delete cookies from your device: Cookies already stored on a device can be removed by clearing the browser history, which deletes cookies from all visited websites. However, some saved information may also be lost (for example, login data or website preferences).
Manage specific site cookies: To have more precise control over the cookies for each site, users can adjust their privacy and cookie settings in the browser.
Block cookies: Although most modern browsers can be configured to prevent cookies from being installed on devices, this may require manually adjusting certain preferences each time a site or page is visited. Additionally, some services and features may not function properly (for example, profile logins).
